Tension wire is widely used in the installation of all types of razor wire security barriers, including Piranha barbed mesh of all types. The tension wire allows the Egoza barbed wire fence to maintain its shape, strengthens its design and generally increases the strength of the fence. As the tension wire, soft low-carbon galvanized wire with a diameter of 2.5 and 3.0 mm can be used, as well as a springy high-carbon galvanized wire with a diameter of 2.2 and 3.0 mm.

The choice of type and diameter of the tension wire depends on the type, design and other features of the razor wire obstacles, as well as on the project budget of the perimeter engineering system. For objects with high safety requirements, it is better to use high-carbon wire – this type of wire is used as a core for razor wire. For the most critical facilities and complex structures of barriers, Concertina or Egoza-Cayman barbed wire can be used as a tension wire.
